There seem to be a few teething problems for new household recycling schemes being introduced in parts of this area.
The food waste collections in mid Devon weren't to everyone's taste - several households in Tiverton dutifully put the waste out in their new blue bins, only to find they'd been missed out by the refuse collectors.
Meanwhile in Teignbridge - which also introduced food waste collections - some residents didn't receive the blue bin to put it in at all.
Both councils say they've done all they can to sort out these issues as soon as they were made aware of them - and that any problems will be eliminated as the schemes are fully rolled out.
