Tenants in East Devon council flats are being urged not to get carried away with Christmas decorations.
The district council says it's fine for people to decorate their homes however they like for the festive season, but they mustn't put paper chains, tinsel and fairy lights in any communal areas.
It's because many decorations are highly flammable and could put the residents at risk.
