A new cycle route is to be created in Sidmouth. A hundred thousand pounds, from a pot of money contributed to the district council by housing developers, will pay for cycling lanes and facilities in the town, and possibly the first part of a cycle route to Feniton.
A further one hundred and fifty thousand pounds will be spent on improvements to local outdoor sports facilities.
Local residents were invited to vote for the priority projects - and these will include Sidmouth Rugby Club, the cricket club, and the provision of a new all-weather multi-games area.
