Lorry hit crew member in Torquay
A Devon binman has died following a collision with a refuse collector in Torquay.
The man in his 20s, who was a member of the crew, was hit by the bin lorry on Higher Warberry Road in the town.
Emergency services were called to the scene at quarter to one in the afternoon on Tuesday 27 May.
He was pronouced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed. The Health and Safety Executive have also been made aware of what has happened.
Devon and Cornwall Police are asking anyone with any information or footage to come forward by calling 101 quoting log 330 of 27 May 2025.
