A group fighting the planned redevelopment of Exmouth sea front say they're disappointed that the local MP Hugo Swire doesn't seem to share their concerns.
He's had a meeting with the district councillor leading the scheme - and said afterwards the modern facilities including shops and a watersports centre were needed to regenerate the town.
The Save Exmouth Seafront group don't agree - they say the existing attractions are loved by residents and visitors alike and that there's no evidence that the new facilities would bring in more visitors.
However they have welcomed Mr Swire's call for a full consultation of residents, visitors and councillors.
