A mid Devon councillor who's accused of assaulting two social housing tenants is to go on trial early next year. Seventy-five year old John Squire, who represents the Upper Yeo ward, denies the allegations.
He's said to have committed the offences in July when visiting the tenants in Bow - and resigned from the Conservative group on the council when the allegations emerged a few weeks ago.
He's due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on January 7th.
