Exeter's Safer Internet Centre, which plays a vital role in removing illegal online content such as child pornography, is to receive its much-needed European funding for the next six years.
There had been concerns that tighter EU budgets would lead to cuts.
But ministers have approved a deal which stipulates that the future funding must allow the uninterrupted delivery of service at the same level as that currently provided.
The centre is part of a Europe wide network, and also runs a helpline and combats cyber-bullying.
