Nightstop helps people aged 16 to 25, by arranging for one of its volunteer hosts to provide a bed for the night - afterwards they put them in touch with acccommodation providers or other support organisations.
The charity says Exeter has a serious problem with youth homelessness, partly because it has no hostels providing emergency overnight accommodation.
All this week local businesses, including The Plant cafe and the Bike Shed bar and theatre, are helping raise money through sponsored events.
