An Exeter man is due in court later today charged with animal cruelty after a dog was hanged.
52 year old Paul Brown of Okehampton Road is charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
The alleged incident, which took place in January in Wiltshire, relates to a collie dog known as Shandy.
Another man and a woman are also due to appear before magistrates in Salisbury, charged with the same offence.
