Injuries are potentially life-changing
A man stabbed in the eye in broad daylight in the Whipton area of Exeter on Sunday morning has injuries that could be life-changing.
Police were called at around 11a.m. following reports of an altercation involving men with weapons at Blackthorn Crescent. Taser trained officers attended and a guard was erected around the scene whilst enquiries were carried out.
A 20-year-old man from Cranbrook was taken to Derriford Hospital with a suspected stab wound to his eye.
A 28-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of wounding and previous bodily harm with intent. He's been bailed until Thursday 29 October pending further enquiries.
Two men, aged 26 and 21, together with a 17-year-old boy, all from Cranbrook, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and bailed until Wednesday 28 October pending further enquiries.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any activity prior to, or after, the incident.
