Police have named the man who was found with fatal injuries in Exeter last week as 43 year old Stephen Crook.
He was found severely injured in a house in Alphington Road last Thursday and died in hospital.
25 year old Ryan Singleton from Coventry appeared in court yesterday charged with murder and possessing an offensive weapon - he was remanded in custody.
