Researchers from the University of Exeter have come up with a 'stop-go' game which trains players to associate things like biscuits with the act of 'stopping'.
Volunteers who played it just four times for 10 minutes - while keeping food diaries - lost almost 1-and-a-half pounds in a week.
It's thought it could eventually be available on smartphones.
