The case of an Exeter man who tried to murder a woman he'd threatened and harassed for five years is being highlighted at the start of so called Stalking Awareness Week.
Joseph Willis was jailed for life last year for attacking Helen Pearson with a pair of scissors.
She had reported a hundred and 25 incidents to police - and the case led to officers receiving training on recognising and acting upon stalking.
