A plaque has been laid in Exmouth to honour a popular and hardworking town councillor who died last summer.
Jean Mitchell founded the council in the 1990s and did a huge amount of work for the community.
She was instrumental in establishing the town's annual festival and getting a stage built in Manor Gardens - and her plaque has been placed on the stage itself.
