The campaign to get a Jobcentre reinstated in Exmouth seems to have hit a brick wall.
The town council and local MP have asked the Department for Work and Pensions to reopen a centre - saying people are having to travel to Exeter to sign on for benefits or look for work.
But the DWP has responded ... saying the rationale for closing Exmouth's former Jobcentre hasn't changed.... and in fact people now have more opportunities to access its services by phone or online.
