Two businesses and the flats above them have been damaged by a fire in Exmouth this morning. It broke out at 7am in the Consul tanning salon - and was sending plumes of smoke billowing high into the sky.
At one point eight fire crews and the aerial ladder from Exeter were at the scene.
No-one's been hurt but two women were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Firefighters have been cutting away parts of the roof and damping down any remaining hotspots.
A building inspector's also been called out to examine some masonry which was in a precarious position.
