Financial cuts could be making people ill, says union
Firefighters in Devon and Somerset are more sick than they've been for years, according to new figures.
Days lost because of illness have shot up by more than 40 per cent. The average local fire service employee is now off sick for two weeks a year. It's a reverse of trends from previous years.
The Fire Brigades Union says it could be because of funding cuts.
