An Exeter karate instructor is offering free classes for children - to encourage them to get fit and mix with other youngsters.
Tim Anderson from Kernow Karate says learning a martial art also gives them confidence and self-discipline.
The classes are open to boys and girls - they have to buy their own outfits but all the instruction is free.
And he says he's doing it because he wants to give something back to Exeter, and enable others to benefit from the life skills he's learned from karate.
