Sunday parking charges in Dawlish have been lifted for the winter.
The free parking is in effect now and is designed to give the town's shops and other businesses a boost, outside the tourist season.
Teignbridge council also hoped it would help people coming into town for Remembrance Sunday events today.
The same arrangement now applies to all the car parks in the district.
