The future of a nature reserve in Exmouth has been secured - thanks to a record-breaking fundraising appeal.
Bystock Pools is owned by South West Water which decided to sell it last Spring - and the Devon Wildlife Trust, which had been leasing the land, launched a campaign to buy the site.
The Trust has now confirmed that 83 thousand pounds has been raised in its most successful ever appeal.
The reserve will now remain open to the public and conservation activities will continue there.
