It's predicted that Exeter's retail trade will continue to do well in 2014 - after a much better performance than the national average last year.
There was a tiny decrease in the number of shoppers at the Guildhall centre in 2013 - but people spent more time and more money there.
That's compared with an average 13 per cent decrease in footfall on a national level.
