Nearly half a million pounds worth of Government funding is to benefit communities in Devon which were hit hard by flooding last year.
Part of that money will be spent in Kennford, Ottery St Mary, Newton St Cyres and Dawlish - all of which suffered serious damage to homes and businesses.
The money will be used to help local people be better prepared for flooding and improve the protective measures at their disposal.
They'l be provided with rain gauges, flood gates, barriers and extra sandbags..
