Exeter High Street has now reopened
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service closed part of Exeter's High Street this morning (Monday 10th February) because of damage to the flagpole on the historic Guildhall.
Storm Ciara has caused disruption and damage around the UK and Exeter's Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind until 7pm tonight.
In a post on Facebook, the Guildhall said "Sadly suffered serious storm damage to my flag pole, thankfully nobody has been hurt and we are overwhelmed with appreciation and thanks to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service"
