Controversial proposals to cut inpatient beds at three east Devon hospitals have been announced by the local NHS.
The beds will go at Crediton, Axminster and Ottery St Mary hospitals.
The NHS says different models of healthcare mean the beds are no longer needed... as people are cared for differently in the community.
There will now be a 12-week consultation on the plans.
