It's been revealed that more than one in three smokers in parts of Devon are now smoking illegal tobacco.
The trade in the South West as a whole has an equivalent retail value of 211 million pounds.
Now a major multi agency campaign is getting underway as part of on going efforts to tackle the illegal tobacco trade in the region.
It's been launched by Smoke Free South West and involves Devon and Cornwall Police, Trading Standards, HMRC, local authorities and Crime Stoppers.
