A massive increase in car parking charges in Exeter city centre have been approved by councillors.
It's part of the plans to make Exeter less congested. The increase will come into force from April, 2018.
It will cost £3 for an hour in Mary Arches, Guildhall and John Lewis car parks - up from £2.20. It's estimated the council will then make 8 million pounds a year from the city car parks.
Councillor Duncan Wood, is backing the plans.
"The increase in car parking fees reflect our drive for cleaner air quality - isn't that a good thing?"
Exeter City Council's executive will now make the final decision on the plans.
