Five of Exeter's play areas are to be refurbished this year
The City Council will spend nearly £200,000 to improve play areas at Quarry Park, Great Hill View, Woodwater Lane, Bull Meadow and Chantry Meadow.
30 per cent will be spent each on Quarry Park and Woodwater Lane and the remaining 40 per cent will be split between the other three areas.
This play park budget is in addition to £200,000 which is to be spent improving paddling pools in Heavitree Pleasure Ground and St. Thomas Pleasure Ground and a £250,000 replacement of the Flowerpot Skate Park.
