It's been confirmed that Exeter's tax office is closing down.
HMRC has announced that it's creating 13 new regional centres - with the south-west hub to be set up in Bristol within the next two years.
Across the country 170 branches will be shut down - Exeter's will close in 2020 or 21.
HMRC hasn't said how many staff across the network could lose their jobs.
