Exmouth's RNLI have succeeded in raising their target sum towards the cost of the new Shannon lifeboat's launch and recovery vehicle.
The branch was asked by the national RNLI to put 150 thousand pounds towards the cost of the specialist tractor, which will launch the lifeboat and tow it back up the beach after an outing.
That money has now been raised - just days before the arrival of the lifeboat itself on Friday.
