An Exeter woman is calling for more awareness and understanding of dementia, and is running public sessions over the coming months to improve people's knowledge of the condition.
It's part of the Government's Dementia Friends initiative, aiming to change the way people behave towards sufferers of Alzheimers' Disease and similar illnesses.
Gina Awad says there are currently a lot of misconceptions which lead to hurtful or unhelpful behaviour towards people with dementia - she wants to take away the fear and stigma associated with the condition.
