An east Devon councillor has announced that she's running as an MP in next year's General Election.
Claire Wright is an Independent so doesn't need to go through a party selection process.
She'll be fighting for what's traditionally been a safe Conservative seat - and says she's doing it partly because many local people don't feel their concerns are being represented at Westminster.
