Black ice has caused problems on local roads today - with the most dramatic example being a lorry which slid through a fence and into someone's front garden in Honiton.
The fence of the house in Millhead Road was left mangled and the pavement was also damaged but no-one was hurt.
Another lorry toppled on to its side in a country lane in Clayhiddon - again the driver escaped injury.
Temperatures are expected to plummet again tonight and drivers are being urged to take extra care.
