Teenagers arrested on suspicion of murder
A murder investigation is underway in Exeter after a man in his forties was stabbed in Sidwell Street in the city centre.
The victim was taken to hospital after suffering a chest wound, but did not survive.
Four people have been arrested, including two on suspicion of murder. His next of kin have been informed.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8.10 p.m. on Saturday to reports of an altercation. A police cordon was put in place whilst investigations continued through the night and much of Sunday.
Two men, both aged 19, one from Christchurch, Dorset and the other of no fixed abode, were taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
A 29-year-old woman from Exeter and a 32-year-old man from Exmouth were arrested on suspicion of affray.
Police are asking anybody who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact them.
