An Exeter man's due before the city's Crown Court today accused of giving a poisonous substance to his wife.
Fifty-two year old Stephen Hirst is charged with unlawfully administering a poison with intent to cause grevious bodily harm or endanger the life of his wife Catherine.
The alleged offence took place on October 1st.
