A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash on Sunday on the A382 at Chagford on the eastern fringe of Dartmoor.
Emergency services were called at around noon to reports of a collision involving a Peugeot 107 and a bicycle.
A 52-year-old local man has life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.
The road was closed for around four hours to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.
Police are asking for witnesses to call them 101 quoting log 409 of 4 August.
