A thirty six year old man is in custody after acting suspiciously near the Royal Marines training camp at Lympstone.
The man, from Exmouth, was arrested at the nearby Railway station.
The alleged incident isn't being treated as terror related.
The man was wanted by police for failing to appear in court.
