A man in Ide near Exeter has been told he'll never be allowed to keep animals again - after being sentenced for 22 charges relating to the ponies and dogs he owned.
73 year old Leslie Weatherill of The Hams was found guilty in March - he had denied all the offences.
Exeter Magistrates heard that the ponies were kept on land near Doddiscombleigh which was strewn with rubbish including barbed wire and glass - and didn't have enough grazing.
28 dogs also being kept on the land in poor conditions were taken into the care of the RSPCA.
Mr Weatherill has received suspended custodial sentences and been disqualified for life from keeping animals.
He's also been ordered to pay the 50 thousand pound costs of boarding the dogs.
