Passenger also hurt
A man's died after colliding with a lorry on the A30 in Launceston.
Police were called to the westbound carriageway near the turn-off for Pennygillam around half 7 yesterday (Sunday 24 November 2024)
He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
Another passenger of the highway maintenance vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The HGV driver, a 51-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and any individuals with dashcam footage to come forward.
