A man has died in Exeter after falling from a flat window.
Police were called to St James Road yesterday afternoon following concerns for a man in one of the properties.
Officers managed to talk to the man, who was in a third floor window, but it appears that he fell from the building.
The 39 year old male suffered a serious head injury, and despite emergency treatment by police, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
