A man has been charged with wounding with intent, and burglary, after alleged incidents in Ottery St Mary yesterday morning.
Police were called to a house in Talaton where a thirty year old woman reported that she'd been assaulted.
30 year old Kris Chastey was arrested after his car was stopped on the A 35 later in the morning. It was tracked by the Police helicopter.
Chastey will appear at Exeter Magistrates Court later today.
