A spell of heavy snow and blizzard conditions is expected around Exeter and Mid Devon later today.
The Met Office has upgraded the severe weather alert for much of Devon, including Exeter, Dartmoor and large parts of Mid Devon to a RED warning.
This means you must take action to keep yourself and others safe: risk to life and power disruption is likely. Keep listening to Radio Exe on 107.3FM, DAB digital radio and our free apps for updates.
Alex Burkhill from Exeter Met Office says:
"This is our highest level of warning that we issue - it means take action. Do not travel unless extremely necessary. We are talking 20cm of snow developing with strong winds."
