A military wife from Exeter who was a founding member of the original choir has been named a Point of Light by Prime Minister David Cameron.
The award given to 34 year old Emma Hanlon-Penny recognises outstanding individuals who are making a change in their community and inspiring others.
Since the Chivenor Military Wives Choir shot to fame in 2011 the network of choirs has grown to 75.
The original choir has raised around 750 thousand pounds for charities.
