A further four and a half million pounds is to be spent on tackling the potholes on Devon's roads.
This is on top of the money already given by the government to Devon county council from the Pothole Action Fund earlier this year.
Transport Secretary Chris Grayling says an "unusually prolonged spell of freezing weather" has caused damage.
