It was closed in one direction overnight last night (Monday 20 August).
The city bound road closure took place from 8pm last night until this morning when it reopened. The out-bound side of Bridge Road will remain open.
The closure was needed to carry out repairs to some deck components that were discovered during a detailed inspection of the bridge last week. New pedestrian and cycling bridges were installed last year as part of a major road widening scheme - and a lane added.
