Plans are being drawn up to tackle parking problems around Exeter's main RD&E hospital.
It follows complaints from local residents that staff, patients and visitors are clogging their streets with cars because they can't park on-site.
The hospital is to reinstate more than 100 spaces on-site which were out of use because of building work, and create a further 130 on or near the site.
It will also work with the county council to draw up a travel plan for patients, visitors and staff, making more use of public transport and encouraging people to walk or cycle when possible.
