Rider taken to trauma centre
A cyclist has been seriously hurt on the outskirts of Exeter in what's thought to be a collision involving no other vehicle.
Emergency services, including Devon Air Ambulance, were called to Longdown Road area, to the east of the city, around 1.30 pm on Saturday. The cyclist was transferred to the NHS South West Trauma Centre, Derriford for treatment.
The road was closed for a number of hours for specialist examination and recovery.
Police say no other vehicles are believed to have been involved and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to contact 101, quoting log number 559 of 5 May.
