689 customers in the Ide area lost power just after three o' clock this afternoon due to a fault with overhead cabling.
Western Power Distribution used switching procedures on the network, restoring all but 121 customers.
Engineers are on site, but the cause of the fault is currently unknown.
Areas still affected include, Darniford, Long Down Village and Oakland.
