Life-changing assault in Paignton
A man has potentially life-changing injuries after being attacked in Paignton.
The victim, who is in his fifties, was taken to hospital after being assaulted with what police describe as "a bladed weapon" in Torbay Road at around 6.20 p.m. on Friday.
They had received reports of "an altercation" following which the man was injured and taken to hospital with a neck injury. Police seized a weapon at the scene.
A 29-year-old man from Torbay was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
A scene guard was put in place during the evening whilst officers carried out enquiries.
