91-year-old died on Friday
Devon and Cornwall police have issued a new appeal for information following the death of a pensioner who was walking near Lidl supermarket in Kingsteignton last Friday.
The 91-year-old was taken to hospital after being hit by a black Mercedes Vito van in Newton Road in the town around 3.30 p.m.
Police would particularly like to speak to the driver of a car going in the direction of The Fountain at the time of the collision and may have seen the vehicle involved, exiting the supermarket car park.
Investigating officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the movements of the man before the incident.
The road was closed for around three-and-a-half hours while enquiries were carried out and the vehicle was recovered.
Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log 519 of 2 October.
