Planning permission has been given for an extension to the main road into the new development near Exeter.
Work will start early in the new year on the road which will link phase one of the development, known as Younghayes, to phase 2.
It's costing 6-million pounds and is part of a bigger 20-million pound investment plan from the Homes and Communities Agency.
